18:00:58 <Phoul> #startmeeting 18:00:58 <MeetBot> Meeting started Wed Sep 6 18:00:58 2017 UTC. The chair is Phoul. Information about MeetBot at http://wiki.debian.org/MeetBot. 18:00:58 <MeetBot> Useful Commands: #action #agreed #help #info #idea #link #topic. 18:00:59 <flexlibris> who would like to begin with an update? 18:01:15 <Phoul> I can 18:01:17 <flexlibris> oh I guess I should have waited for the meetbot to start 18:01:20 <flexlibris> updates start now! 18:01:21 <flexlibris> go ahead Phoul 18:01:35 <Phoul> I typed it up while I was waiting for the meeting, so excuse weird line breaks. 18:01:41 <Phoul> This morning I published the August Transifex report (https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-project/2017-September/001435.html). Spent some time last week planning the Montreal relay operators meetup, we now have a time, date and rough location (one of the hotel rooms) nailed down (https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/org/meetings/2017Montreal). Will be reaching out to tor-relays to 18:01:47 <Phoul> advertise this more over the next couple days. I've been reading RT docs trying to figure out what is causing the CSRF warnings to appear at certain dialogs, but not consistently, it seems their detection may not be entirely functional. Reviewed Transifex teams, and started compiling a list of languages we should consider dropping from the platform (like Russian Petrine orthography, etc..). Put up the 18:01:53 <Phoul> obfs4 bridge relay instructions at https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/org/teams/CommunityTeam/Support#HowdoIrunaobfs4bridgeonDebian. I also fixed the build failures with the user manual, and started updating the manual again to match the current Tor Browser, currently its just a few screenshots that need upgrading. Related to the last point, if anyone has access to OSX and would like to 18:01:59 <Phoul> assist with some screenshots, would appreciate it. 18:02:54 <Phoul> Oh, also, if anyone here is interested in helping with the relay meetup, please let me know :) 18:03:29 <flexlibris> if no one else is available to do the OSX screenshots I can do it, but I am pretty swamped right now so it would be great if someone else is available! 18:04:07 <Samdney> sorry, have no osx 18:04:08 <Phoul> arthuredelstein did a bunch for us previously, might be able to get him to send the few updates ones too. :) 18:04:10 <t0mmy> I'm available! 18:04:14 <flexlibris> awesome 18:04:17 <Phoul> t0mmy: woo! 18:05:10 <flexlibris> anything else for Phoul? 18:05:54 <flexlibris> okay, great, thanks Phoul 18:05:57 <flexlibris> who wants to go next? 18:06:03 <sukhe> I can go next! 18:06:42 <flexlibris> go ahead! 18:06:53 <sukhe> I am giving a Tor talk in India next week, organized with SFLC (http://sflc.in/) 18:07:07 <sukhe> there are plans for multiple cities, but we are starting with New Delhi, the capital 18:07:16 <sukhe> the first talk is at the Press Club of India 18:07:35 <sukhe> I will have more details which I will forward to the list; I am waiting for confirmation from them 18:07:55 <flexlibris> really excited to hear how those go 18:08:10 <t0mmy> +1 18:08:24 <t0mmy> we should get them up on the calendar 18:08:30 <flexlibris> yes 18:08:36 <sukhe> I will do that as soon as the dates are confirmed 18:08:41 <t0mmy> great =) 18:08:58 <sukhe> and I will be starting a thread on tor-community to have feedback on the topics planned as well 18:09:15 <sukhe> that's all from me. thanks! 18:09:31 <flexlibris> thanks sukhe! 18:09:38 <flexlibris> any other questions or comments for him? 18:10:25 <flexlibris> okay then 18:10:32 <flexlibris> I can go next 18:10:46 <flexlibris> things are pretty hectic for me right now because the place where I live was hit by a hurricane 18:11:07 <flexlibris> I am fine, but it affects a lot of the city and so it makes lots of activities difficult 18:11:11 <flexlibris> including breathing :/ 18:11:24 <flexlibris> I did spend this weekend training anti-nuclear activists about Tor, which was really fun 18:11:44 <flexlibris> (US anti-nuclear activists) 18:11:58 <Phoul> Nice! 18:11:59 <sukhe> :) that sounds cool 18:12:01 <flexlibris> I've been continuing work on Montreal meeting planning. if you have not yet added your agenda ideas to the wiki, please do so. 18:12:13 <flexlibris> it was cool! look up the Plowshares Movement. they're really neat people. 18:12:43 <flexlibris> the membership guidelines are currently out for a vote. if you are eligible to vote, please do so. 18:13:18 <flexlibris> and a reminder, once that vote is finished, we will get to work on the code of conduct. so if you're interested in working on that please let me know! 18:13:29 <Samdney> o/ 18:13:44 * t0mmy is interested 18:13:49 <flexlibris> some good stuff is happening with Library Freedom Project right now -- last week I won a grant for $250,000 18:13:53 <kat5> I can help with that. 18:13:59 <Phoul> Im also interested in helping 18:14:04 <Samdney> wow! 18:14:05 <Phoul> Also, woo grant! 18:14:08 <flexlibris> great, thanks.
