Information about MeetBot at http://wiki.debian.org/MeetBot. 18:02:21 <MeetBot> Useful Commands: #action #agreed #help #info #idea #link #topic. 18:02:37 <flexlibris> anyone with a status update want to go first? 18:03:12 <Phoul> I can go 18:03:22 <flexlibris> great go ahead 18:05:38 <Phoul> We had the wiki sprint last week, got a lot of work on the support wiki done (https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/org/teams/CommunityTeam/Support). The podcast I've been mentioning went up (https://privacy-training.com/podcast.html), I've been tracking down translators for some video title translations for stephw, and answering questions for strings on Transifex in General. Also spent some 18:05:44 <Phoul> time answering more requesttracker tickets. 18:06:50 <Phoul> I also wrote answers for relaying on free/hbsd, and running an obfs4 bridge. I sent the bridge stuff to flexlibris for review yesterday, and it will go up on the wiki today. 18:06:53 <Phoul> :) 18:07:14 <flexlibris> this is gonna be the best support wiki ever I can feel it 18:07:14 <Samdney> great :D 18:07:31 <flexlibris> thanks for all your hard work Phoul 18:08:33 <Phoul> I think thats all from me. Thank you flexlibris :) thanks to everyone who came for the sprint as well, it was a really productive sesxsion. 18:08:36 <Phoul> session* 18:08:48 <flexlibris> anyone else with a status update wanna go next? 18:09:55 <kat5> I will. 18:10:02 <flexlibris> great kat5 go ahead 18:11:25 <kat5> I'm a bit behind on responding to t-shirt emails because I've been fighting with storm all week. I think we're close to figuring it out, though. Hopefully be back on track by tomorrow. 18:11:31 <kat5> That's all. 18:11:39 <flexlibris> ugh, storm 18:11:45 <flexlibris> so sorry you're dealing with it 18:12:44 <kat5> It is what it is. :-) 18:12:45 <flexlibris> anyone else up next? 18:14:02 <flexlibris> I can go next if there are no others... 18:14:18 <flexlibris> so I also worked on the support wiki sprint with Phoul and others 18:14:46 <flexlibris> from that sprint we got some additional ideas for things to add or fix and we'll work on those in Friday morning 18:15:19 <flexlibris> stephw has been pushing the support wiki out on twitter, which is great, so I'll work with her to promote it some more 18:15:48 <flexlibris> other than that I've been working on Tor Montreal meeting planning 18:16:33 <flexlibris> as well as getting the membership guidelines finally finished up. I hope the vote for those will take place next week, though our typical vote secretary is on leave so first I have to find someone else. 18:18:10 <flexlibris> after those are voted on and ratified I'll continue working on the code of conduct with catalyst, and with anyone else who wants to help! 18:18:55 <Samdney> o/ 18:19:03 <flexlibris> I'm also thinking about some of the next things this team can work on after we get the support wiki in a stable place and finish this last pressing community governance doc 18:19:15 <flexlibris> (not to say that we won't need more in the future but these are ones we've needed for a while) 18:19:32 <catalyst> flexlibris: yeah we should schedule some time to work on that; sorry about delays 18:20:07 <flexlibris> catalyst: no worries. life gets busy and also we needed to get the membership docs finished first anyway! 18:20:25 <flexlibris> so as for next things to begin working on in the coming weeks 18:20:50 <flexlibris> I'd love to get back into the Rapid Response program: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/org/teams/CommunityTeam/Projects/RapidResponse 18:21:06 <Phoul> +1, I'd love to work on that too. 18:21:11 <flexlibris> I'd love to brainstorm new places to do Tor outreach 18:21:12 <Samdney> ah, I almost forget it :) 18:21:45 <flexlibris> more places in the Global South, of course, but also particular institutions and things like that where Tor people have never spoken 18:21:55 <flexlibris> like, what about a conference for health professionals or something 18:23:04 <flexlibris> so if anyone has ideas about outreach you should open a ticket on trac with the community component 18:24:14 <t0mmy> I'm working on outreach from the grant perspective but if I can be of use in terms of brainstorming, I'd love to be involved. 18:24:41 <Samdney> (maybe the "* without borders" organizations) 18:24:54 <flexlibris> t0mmy, that would be great. let's think about how we can spread Tor around to new people. 18:25:10 <t0mmy> For sure. 18:25:22 <flexlibris> another idea for new projects 18:25:52 <flexlibris> how can the community team resources improve? https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/org/teams/CommunityTeam#Resources 18:26:23 <flexlibris> we have Tor brochures in different languages, some Tor training materials, and a fantastic Tor manual and glossary 18:26:36 <flexlibris> what else do we need there? I bet the training resources could use some work themselves too 18:26:57 <t0mmy> Tor training materials is something I would be especially interested in working on over the next few months. 18:27:02 <t0mmy> Having actual things to give out. 18:27:35 <flexlibris> t0mmy I can check in with you soon about working on those 18:27:57 <t0mmy> Cool. 18:27:59 <t0mmy> Thanks! 18:28:01 <flexlibris> that's all I've got, unless people have more questions or comments about what I've shared 18:28:39 <Samdney> btw, does anything or our material include something about possible stuff e.g. like law <-> running an exit node? 18:28:49 <Samdney> *anything of 18:28:59 <Phoul> The laws for exit operations would be different per country, but I think there is some US stuff floating around. 18:29:33 <flexlibris> torservers has more of that kind of thing 18:29:59 <Samdney> is there a list or contact point for people who are interested in this topic? 18:30:12 <catalyst> Samdney: i think there's a few legal FAQ entries 18:30:19 <gamambel> https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/TorExitGuidelines#Legal 18:30:49 <Samdney> thanks gamambel 18:30:49 <flexlibris> thanks gamambel 18:31:01 <Samdney> do people find this link? ;) 18:31:21 <Phoul> We link to the exit guidelines from the wiki, but not #legal specifically. 18:31:25 <Phoul> (support wiki) 18:31:38 <Samdney> ah, ok thanks Phoul 18:31:47 <flexlibris> anyone else have an update to share? 18:32:02 <flexlibris> or any items they want to cover in this meeting? 18:32:29 <Phoul> I'm going to be putting more work into planning the relay operators meetup in Montreal over the next week. If anyone is interested in helping with tht, please let me know :) 18:32:38 <flexlibris> :D 18:32:59 <flexlibris> yes on the meeting note, if you're attending the Montreal meeting PLEASE add your agenda ideas to the wiki 18:33:14 <Samdney> do you have still this "wtf" thing in the schedule? hehe, ;) 18:33:51 <Phoul> I'd still like to do that. Haven't removed it :) 18:34:02 <Samdney> great name 18:34:31 <flexlibris> anything else? 18:35:33 <flexlibris> ..... 18:35:35 <Phoul> Thats all for me, I think. 18:35:54 <flexlibris> okay, I'm gonna call it then 18:35:58 <flexlibris> #endmeeting
