16:00:55 <morganava> hello meetbot nice of you to join us
16:01:03 <morganava> our pad per usual: https://pad.riseup.net/p/tor-tbb-keep
16:01:06 <ma1> o/
16:02:05 <clairehurst> o/
16:02:17 <morganava> this week are are planning at 14.5a5 release which should be our second-to-last alpha before 14.5 stabilizes
16:02:58 <morganava> we can catch up on connect-assist stuffs in the connect-assist sync after this
16:03:17 <morganava> so 2 questions:
16:03:32 <morganava> are there any other blockers which really ought to make this release
16:04:01 <morganava> who's available to release-prep/build/sign this week?
16:04:13 <PieroV> I'm available
16:04:47 <dan_b> i'm always around to build
16:04:59 <ma1> how many preppers / signers are needed? It's just one for an alpha, correct?
16:05:07 <PieroV> I have a MR that could use some testing
16:05:14 <morganava> yep just alpha this week
16:05:22 <PieroV> If we don't have enough time we should retarget for 15.0
16:05:35 <morganava> PieroV: which one?
16:05:42 <PieroV> tor-browser!1388
16:06:13 <PieroV> I have another one I basically need to reimplement from scratch
16:06:16 <morganava> 👀
16:06:50 <PieroV> But it's very small, so it won't be a blocker for this alpha
16:07:18 <morganava> well it's its own commit so if we break thigns we can always revert it in 14.5a6
16:09:13 <morganava> championquizzer: in case you're around, 14.5a4 has a regression on some non en-US locales whereby the browser name isn't not properly localised nor falling back to en-US but that will be fixed in 14.5a5 (so if anyone complains tell them to wait a week)
16:09:55 <morganava> ok, any other must-haves this week?
16:10:43 <dan_b> not quite a must have but the ux survey for android is blocked on translation string for "dismiss"
16:11:38 <dan_b> i could just steal the desktop's translation for "close" for the short term and then update it later if we get them? or just wait?
16:11:48 <dan_b> https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/applications/tor-browser/-/issues/43489#note_3174780
16:11:50 <morganava> yep i saw that on gitlab
16:12:15 <morganava> dan_b: for now grab w/e we have in the desktop patch and both desktop+android can have fixups! once the strings are decided
16:12:43 <dan_b> 👍 thanks
16:13:22 <morganava> in the meantime once the UX survey is ready for merging to 14.5, you should work on the 14.0 backport
16:13:46 <dan_b> riiiight, yeah thanks. actaully a great reason to use close to get this landed
16:13:59 <morganava> mmhm
16:14:18 <morganava> the translation is important but not important enough for endless bikeshedding/delasy :)
16:16:33 <morganava> ok then, does anyone else have discussion topics/announcements?
16:18:02 * PieroV doesn't
16:19:19 * ma1 neither
16:19:25 <morganava> well alrigh then
16:19:44 <morganava> as always, have a lovely week everybody o/
